What is currently going on?
As of writing this, it is 1:38 PM 11/28/25. It is Black Friday today. Yesterday (or I guess today) at around 2:00 AM, I was suffering from extreme mental deterioration from working on the Prox Mainserver, trying to fix my bugged services. I got it fixed and working, so that is good.
There are many things I should be tending to sometime this week:
- Do my homework.
- Make sure I'm ready for my exams.
- List the computers that I have built.
- Build computers to sell (I somehow ran out of stock before Black Friday).
I started this site literally last night, and I've been meaning to have a site run on this domain for a while now. I also have another domain, "jasonprowe.com," which I was using to show off some of my previous projects. Since not paying for my Adobe Portfolio subscription, the "jasonprowe.com" domain has been quietly collecting dust, but I'll find a use for it when I get around to it.
My phone is going off with these Black Friday deals at the moment because of the n8n workflow that I have connected to a Discord bot. n8n is a cool tool. It's a workflow automation application that is designed to use AI agents to do various tasks for the user. It's a very powerful way to automate a ton of my work that would take hours for me.
Finding part deals, for example. I used to seriously spend hours upon hours just combing through all sites that sell hardware: eBay, Amazon, Newegg, and even Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp. Since implementing n8n workflows and a Discord bot to send me notifications, I get hardware component deals straight to my phone, with a link to purchase the product ASAP. With the changing PC market and prices skyrocketing because of, I dare say, Artificial Intelligence, a tool like n8n is incredible.
Did I mention my n8n instance is self-hosted? 😎
I've been meaning to play around with more Linux distributions. I'm very familiar with Ubuntu (who isn't?), but I want to try something new. Yes, I've used Debian quite a bit as well, mostly for server tasks, but I was rocking Debian 12.9 with GNOME for a little while. Honestly, I want to get into Arch, just so I understand how to use a rolling-release Linux distribution. Kinda wanna see whether I'd break my first (or 10th) installation. I'm somewhat debating whether to go with an easier option first, something like EndeavorOS, which looks pretty nice from what I've seen. Maybe Manjaro. Maybe just use ArchInstall to get going and then see how well I do from there.
Anyways, I'm starting to get cranky because I need my (c)offee. May peace be upon the reader.
